In order to become an expert in the field of endocrinology in Turkey, after graduating from the medical school, it is necessary to take the medical specialization exam and complete the internal medicine specialization.

After completing their obligatory service, doctors who are internal medicine specialists pass the sub-branch specialization exam in medicine and receive Endocrinology specialization training. Endocrinology education lasts for 3 years in Turkey. After this training, these physicians who receive the title of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Specialist or Doctor can complete their compulsory services and continue their working life.

As a result, in order to become an Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Specialist in our country, a 14-year education period is required after the university exam, and this period takes an average of 18 years with compulsory services.
