What is Endocrinology?
WHAT IS ENDORCRINOLOGY?
Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases is the area of the medicine that examines the work and diseases of the hormonal glands in the body. Glands in our body such as thyroid, pituitary, pancreas, adrenal, ovary and testicles secrete various hormones and ensure the regular functioning of metabolism. Endocrine glands, in other words endocrine glands, are the glands that produce and secrete hormones in our body.
Who is ENDOCRINOLOGY DOCTOR?

WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF ENDOCRINE GLANDS?
Activities controlled by the endocrine glands include:
- Metabolism
- Growth and development
- reproduction
- Regulation of energy
WHAT ARE HORMONES?
The messages that the endocrine glands produce and send to other cells through the blood are called hormones. Hormones change the metabolism of the cells they reach and regulate their functions and functions.
WHICH ARE ENDOCRINE GLANDS?
Hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, ovary, testicles, pancreas are endocrine glands in our body.
Why Do Endocrine Glands Functions Deteriorate?
The hormonal system in our body works in a certain order. Hormones produced by glands such as thyroid, adrenal, testes, and ovaries are closely monitored by the hypothalamus and pituitary gland. Natural and physiological causes such as puberty, aging and pregnancy may affect the functioning of the endocrine glands, as well as genetic and environmental exposures may disrupt the functioning of the endocrine glands.
There are familial factors in most of the diseases that occur in genetic endocrine glands. There is a familial predisposition in many endocrine diseases such as Hashimoto's, diabetes and pituitary gland diseases. However, most diseases are caused by exposure to environmental factors on a genetic basis. Stress, malnutrition, and endocrine inhibitors can be counted among the environmental factors.
